We wanted a way for our friends to share some love for our birthday party, so we made this app. That is a thing people do, right?
If the internet makes you nervous, we understand. This app is running on a private server; it collects no data at all, except for the data you choose to submit, and only for the purpose that it can be displayed at the event. There are no trackers, no ads, and no company behind it (We did have a business plan but Dave wanted to name the company DaveCorp and Anghelika wanted to name it AngheliCo and neither of us would budge, so we tabled the idea. DaveCorp is still trying to figure out how to monetize friendship).
All submissions are reviewed before publication in order to prevent spam from our competitors. If you mark your message private, it will only be visible to Dave and Anghelika. Photos are stripped of all metadata (like location) and stored with messages only for the purposes of the event, during which submissions will appear as a slideshow; after the event, all submissions are archived and cleared from the server. Yay technology!
